Mark has been involved with iconic leisure & hospitality venues across the breadth of the country with a specific focus in the North-East and Scotland. He brings with him a wealth of operational experience and recruitment expertise to the ‘WHAM Hospitality Group’ which consists of 'WHAM Consultancy' and 'WHAM Hospitality Recruitment'.

With a keen eye for the detail behind all aspects of company operations, organisational structure, and financial controls, as well as proficiency recruiting the right senior candidates to fill key roles in businesses large and small, Mark’s skills and experience are now available on a consultancy or freelance executive basis.

Mark’s career has included spells with companies such as 42nd Street Bars Ltd, the Stonegate Pub Company, Danieli Holdings and The Lane7 Group, during which time he has overseen multiple high-profile new venue openings, large scale investments and refurbishments up and down the country.

With 25 years of service within the hospitality and leisure industry Mark’s time served has taken him from a glass collector through to national Operation’s Director level and all points in between.

Away from WHAM Mark is a father of three who enjoys his sports, keeping active and his life-long passion for comic books (so the WHAM logo makes sense now!!). One of Mark’s core values is ‘giving back’ to the community and to that end he volunteers as a business mentor at schools and colleges, as well as acting in governance and trustee roles, and is open to pursue opportunities as a Non Executive Director.

Mark is now the Founder & Managing Director of the WHAM Hospitality Group a firm who provide full-circle consultancy and senior role recruitment services specialising within the hospitality and leisure sectors.
